Congrats to “Jane Goodall – Reasons for Hope”

UPDATE - Jackson Wild 2023 Media Awards Recognized by the Jackson Wild Jury for implementation of sustainable best practices to reduce the environmental impact through the entire lifecycle of a production. Our work was highlighted at a wonder event in Sudbury recently with Jane Goodall in attendance for the screening. CONGRATS to the TEAM! With authoritative enthusiasm and as if I were present at the event, let me recount the words of Lickley, the esteemed producer of the film. Having previously collaborated with the renowned Jane Goodall on his remarkable 2002 creation, "Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees," this film, titled "Jane Goodall - Reasons for Hope," marks Lickley's seventh venture into the realm of giant-screen filmmaking. IMAX film “Jane Goodall - Reasons for Hope” by local producer David Lickley. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKWK7xpVe88[/embed] Lickley, an individual who has maintained a continuous connection with Goodall throughout the years, acknowledged her transition from an exclusive focus on chimpanzees to encompassing global environmental endeavors. Delving into the depths of her published works, he was struck by the notion of creating a sequel that would extend beyond the realm of chimps. IMAX film “Jane Goodall - Reasons for Hope” at Science North During the fateful year of 2010, Lickley approached Goodall with a proposition: to craft a sequel that would center around the theme of hope, not limited to the narrative of chimpanzees but embracing a broader spectrum of topics. Expressing his thoughts on this matter, Lickley recollects, "So I went to her in 2010, and I said, 'I've been reading your books, Jane. What do you think about doing a sequel, but we'll do it about hope? And we'll do it not just about chimps, but about other things.'" A subject passionately discussed by Goodall worldwide, it has now found its rightful place within an IMAX film, destined to be viewed by audiences across the globe. Lickley expresses his anticipation, stating, "That story of Sudbury is going to be told, and people are going to go 'Oh, isn't that amazing.' Hopefully, they'll...

ImagesInSound Adds Nuage

Buena Park, CA (August 24, 2017)—ImagesInSound, an award-winning audio post-production facility in Toronto, Canada, has installed a 32-fader Yamaha Nuage advanced production DAW system with master section for its largest dubbing stage. Brian Eimer, studio owner, first learned about Nuage through Steinberg. “I was planning an upgrade to Dolby Atmos in my main dubbing stage,” he states. “I had attended an NAB Show in Las Vegas and arranged a Nuage demo there. The system blew me away, and I knew then it would be the right fit.” Nuage system is working out great, says Eimer. “I’ve done two IMAX 12.0 mixes with it, and it was a dream. On the two projects, Extreme Weather and Mysteries of China, I was really able to create an immersive environment with Nuage and Nuendo 7. I just received the Dolby Atmos panner update in Nuendo, and I’m looking forward to working with it.” Nuage replaces a Euphonix System 5 MC, the first sold in Canada. “Nuage has a big advantage over the System 5, the main reason being that it is fully integrated with Nuendo. Euphonix was bought by Avid, and all support was discontinued. But beyond that, Nuage is built for post, with a lot of functionality that is required in post and really easy to navigate.” Eimer has been using Nuendo since N2 and is now using the latest version, Nuendo 8. “Nuendo is the best platform for audio post, and Nuage being part of that platform, made the decision to purchase the system an easy one. The people at Steinberg have always gotten it right, including when they rebuilt the software in Nuendo 5 to make post a main focus.” Eimer adds, “I don’t want to go through menus, and pull downs and continually click to get to what I want to do, like other software. One button on the surface of Nuage and I’m there, or I can just program it; it’s that easy.” Yamaha yamahaproaudio.com...
