Hello Toronto and surrounding area!
We’re excited to announce that we’re starting up a bi-weekly blog to keep you up-to-date with all of the exciting happenings at ImagesInSound!
We’ll also keep you current with the many advances and hot topics within the audio post-production industry as a whole, so be sure to save our website to your favourites bar.
Let Us Introduce Ourselves
For those of you who are new to ImagesInSound, let us first introduce ourselves.
We’re a boutique operation that was founded in 2004 by our 30-year industry veteran, Brian Eimer.
Brian has devoted his entire career to driving creative excellence in audio post-production for TV, feature film, large format (IMAX) and special venue.
Brian and our team of talented creatives carefully craft each audio post-production feature to its greatest potential.
We serve clients across the globe from our home in the core of Toronto’s entertainment district. Our work is considered to be the highest level of creativity and technical quality in audio post-production.
We pride ourselves on offering the perfect blend of creativity, experience, and flexibility that makes us a top creative force in the industry. Our audio-house uses the latest technology to enhance our creative ability that gives our clients the edge that they’re looking for.
Our clients choose to work with us because we offer an experience that’s much more personal than what they might receive by working with a multi-national corporation. We’re a tight-knit, honest company that represents our business on every level. Our culture and attitude cultivate trust and loyalty, which our clients appreciate as they depend on us to deliver our best.
We have worked in all genres of television including drama, MOWs, documentaries, lifestyle shows, and comedies. With award-winning sound designers, editors, Foley artists and re-recording mixers, we turn audio into sound that tells a story. Our studios are dedicated to creating exceptional television.

Large Format Film
We’ve worked closely with many talented filmmakers. We design soundtracks that are as unique as the stories they tell, and it's this commitment that makes our films timeless. Our Theatre A is designed for all the latest formats including IMAX 12.0 and Dolby Atmos. We also use this studio to create soundtracks for the more traditional IMAX 6.0 and Dolby Digital 5.1 features.
Many of our clients require custom audio for unique attractions that far surpass the scope of television and film. Our work in audio post-production isn’t limited to more traditional soundtracks. We also create exceptional soundtracks for special venues worldwide.
We’ve created custom audio for multiple museums and cultural attractions, theme parks, and 4D ride simulators. Each location requires unique technical specifications and audio configurations and we’re capable of simulating these different environments within our studios.
Awards and Accomplishments in 2019
We’re honoured to win awards for original sound design as a result of injecting our experience, creativity and technical proficiency into the soundtrack of our large format (IMAX) films.
In September of 2019, we won the award for Best Sound at the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) for Apollo 11, the 2019 American documentary film by Todd Douglas Miller.
September was a great month for us! We were also nominated for Best Sound at Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival for ‘Epic Yellowstone’, a series produced by Grizzly Creek Films exploring the world’s first national park.
In October of 2019, we were nominated for Best Sound Editing at the Directors of Guild awards for Lifetime’s 'Believe Me’, a harrowing tale of survival drawn from the decades-old case of Lisa McVey.
‘Epic Yellowstone’ was also submitted to the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) Golden Reel awards, and ‘Believe Me’ was submitted to the Canadian Screen Awards, so stay tuned for upcoming nominations and awards for these titles in the blogs to come!
