LOCATION BASED MIXING AND MASTERING
Location-based sound mixing and mastering was developed in 2000 from the need to maximize the audience's experience in themed attraction and special venue installations. The concept has been so well received by our clients it has evolved to include IMAX theatres with specialized playback systems, and dubbing stages closer to film production offices. We travel to the location where the most effective mix can be created. It's done by utilizing all the current advances in audio software and hardware. We can interface with just about any theatre sound and visual system. The result is the close integration of our soundscapes with 4D effects, lighting and multiple unconventional speaker configurations, and ultimately the maximum impact on the visitor. Projects where we have successfully implemented location based mixing:
• Ontario Olympic Pavillion 4D (2010) - Vancouver, Canada
• "London Eye 4D" (2009) - London, UK
• "Wild Ocean 3D" (2008) - Bristol, UK
• Oltremare Pavilion (2004) - Rimini, Italy
• "Blast Off!" (2003) - Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas
• "Bugs! 3D" (2003) - BFI IMAX theatre in London, England
• "Pirates" (2000) - Lisbon, Portugal
